ROSEMONT, Pa. – Rosemont freshman Dean Grisoff (Eastern, Voorhees, NJ) ended the 2012 Men’s Lacrosse season ranked first nationally in NCAA Division III in the ground balls/game statistical category. Grisoff ended the season averaging 13.79 ground balls per game, 0.29 ahead of the second-place finisher. A letter winner, Grisoff was named to the CSAC All-Conference Honorable Mention team for 2012.

Grisoff was credited with more than 20 ground balls in three contests this year (24 vs. Alvernia on 3/15, 23 vs. Marywood on 3/28 and 21 vs. Immaculata on 4/10). Especially impressive is that Grisoff led the nation on a Rosemont team that took the field for their inaugural season in 2012.

Grisoff’s skills on the lacrosse field were not limited to ground balls, as he was among team leaders in several other statistical categories: 1st in shots, 1st in shots on goal, 2nd in points, 2nd in goals and 3rd in assists.
