Twenty-Eight Ravens Named to Winter/Spring CSAC All-Academic Team
06/06/2012 10:54ASTON, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced its 2011-12 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team, which include 473 student-athletes, twenty-eight of which are Rosemont College student-athletes.
Three Ravens were named to the team representing multiple sports. Tom Bottoms and Ron Vogelei earned spots on the team for their participation in men’s lacrosse and men’s tennis. Nymira Nelson earned multiple spots for women’s basketball and women’s lacrosse. Four Rosemont student-athletes who made the CSAC All-Academic Team also were named to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship team in their respective sports:
- Kevin Fenstermaker (Men’s Basketball)
- Daniel Gershman (Men’s Tennis)
- Diana Hamlin (Women’s Lacrosse)
- Ron Vogelei (Men’s Lacrosse)
The CSAC All-Academic team recognizes student-athletes who have met all eligibility requirements and earn a semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher. The Winter/Spring All-Academic team is comprised of student-athletes in the sports of men's and women's basketball, baseball, golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, and men's tennis.
"This recognition is more than deserved for these student-athletes," said CSAC Commissioner Jennifer Dubow. "Each of these young men and women have demonstrated that a complete education includes both academics and athletics. They are true leaders on their campuses, and are fine representatives of their teams, their institutions, and the CSAC as a whole."
