Montecchio Named CSAC Player-of-the-Week

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Rosemont College Forward/Guard Ashley Montecchio (Jr./Sun Valley/Aston, Pa.) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for the week of December 12, 2011.

Montecchio had a standout performance in Rosemont’s lone game this week, a 67-59 win over the Arcadia Knights. Montecchio scored a career-high 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to earn her fifth double-double of the year in nine games played. She shot 13-for-28 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe. She was also credited with four steals and three assists in the game.

Montecchio earned the second consecutive CSAC Player-of-the-Week designation for the Rosemont women’s basketball program.
