JERRY HEULITT NAMED HEAD SOFTBALL COACH

Friday, August 27, 2010 (Rosemont, PA) – The Rosemont College Athletic Department announced Friday the appointment of Jerry Heulitt as the Head Softball Coach.

Heulitt is no stranger to Rosemont College having served as the Assistant Coach during the 2010 season. “Jerry proved himself in a very short period of time that he could use his contacts and knowledge of the game to help us rebuild this program,” stated Athletic Director, Lynn Rothenhoefer. Heulitt brings a wealth of knowledge to the program having served as a manager of the Northampton Rebels Fast Pitch at various age groups for the past five seasons. Prior to his time with the Rebels he spent four seasons with the Penndel Lady Wildcats Fast Pitch program and served as the Assistant Coach on the 2004 NSA Mid-Atlantic Champion 18U team. “I’m excited for his enthusiasm and commitment and believe he is the key to the Raven’s future competitiveness,” added Rothenhoefer.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities with the Northampton Girls Softball Association Heulitt served as the Rebels Travel Representative in 2005 and 2007 and the Treasurer of the association from 2008 until today. 

Heulitt is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University with a B.S. in Construction Management.
