Donnelly and Boyle Earn CSAC Weekly Honrors

ASTON, Pa. - Two Rosemont College student-athletes earned weekly The Colonial States Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Week awards for the week ending October 2, 2011.

Women's soccer keeper Gina Donnelly won the Player-of-the-Week. As mentioned in the release from the CSAC:

Rosemont College’s Gina Donnelly (Jr, GK, Horsham, PA/Philadelphia HS for Girls) has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference women’s soccer player of the week for the week ending October 2, 2011. In three games, the goalie stopped 26 of 28 shots as the Ravens went 1-1-1. In a 2-0 win over CSAC foe Philadelphia Biblical on Thursday, Donnelly recorded 11 saves to earn the shutout, while she posted 13 stops for the Ravens in their 0-0 double-overtime tie against Cedar Crest on Saturday afternoon."

Volleyball player Karen Boyle was named to the Honor Roll for the Player-of-the-Week. As mentioned in the release from the CSAC:

"Rosemont College’s Karen Boyle (Grad., MB, Swarthmore, PA/Archbishop Prendergast) has been named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball honor roll for the week ending October 2, 2011. She averaged 3.4 kills and 4.75 digs, while totaling 14 aces, as the Ravens went 3-1 on the week, with her week highlighted by a 19-kill, 22-dig effort in Rosemont’s 3-0 sweep over CSAC foe Keystone for the Ravens’ first conference victory since October 1998."
